BARRO is a multimedia installation - exploring the ephemeral ritual of the creative process and inviting visitors to contribute to the piece.
The conceptual basis of the work has been developed from the poetry of Miguel Hernández , whose centennial is being celebrated this year throughout Spain.
This piece is a collaboration between Morgan Caney and David de Felipe and is one of the activities to be held in Barcelona between the 13th and 19th of May as part of Poetry Week.
Morgan Caney is a british multimedia artist, currently based in Barcelona. He has worked in numerous different contexts – creating interactive soundscapes (Architects of Air, England), multi-screen video environments (Molilab, Germany), and live improvised video projection (Orchestra Fireluche, Girona). A keen improviser, he is part of the fantastic "Orquesta del Caballo Ganador " as well as playing as a guest musician in other groups including Za!, Nisei and Tarantula.
David de Felipe, is a painter and sculptor - born in Cadiz (1979) and currently living and creating work in Barcelona.
